I am currently a college student at Dordt College in Iowa, studying Philosophy. I am editor-in-chief of the journal Dordt Crossings, and webmaster of this blog. My ultimate intentions include attending seminary and finally pursuing the ministry of Christ through preaching, pastoral care and writing.

TheVeilAway.Com is my pastime and (through the revenue from ads and from donations by generous readers like yourself) the source of my tuition for college. Generally, I try to write something edifying and interesting every weekday. Sometimes that turns out to be a book or movie review; sometimes reflections on a passage of Scripture or some lesser book; sometimes commentary on news or cultural trends; sometimes narrative records of edifying experiences I have had (e.g. conferences, seminary visits, sermons etc.).

*Note: The baby in the picture is not mine, as some have accused; it is, in fact, my girlfriend’s niece, Lydia.
